Why i choose silat?

I want preserve silat as heritage of the world.Mostly the new generation think silat is kurafat or mystical.Perception mystical about silat it is because history of silat.

They using some spirit power or JIN/syaitan(muslim definition) to get the master of silat.

But this time,silat have change to be a practical learning.Everything what we learn silat is more practical and not using power of spirit.In Islam we learn silat for the self defence.Everything using practical and we just hope from god (Allah).

THE NEW GENERATION THINKING

Now the new generation especially teenager have knowledge.The muslim people in Malaysia have some knowledge about islam.

They know if using some spirit/mystical, they can get big sin.What we do we must leave to God (Allah)

The related what they thinking now is related about silat.Mostly of them think silat is syirik or mystical.Because of that many of them dont learn silat as reason they scare of spiritual of silat.

The other reason think is they said silat is not relevan in this time.

SILAT IN THIS TIME

Now silat have been clear by element of mystic.The master have put something new about silat.It is more discipline and attitude.Example in Silat cekak Pusaka Hanafi and Silat Sendeng,it is more practically and training.

Perseveration of SILAT
“Silat  is the our heritage for the world”

Research Topic	Silat is the our heritage
Background	Silat spread throughout the Malay Archipelago since the seventh century AD, but its origin is still uncertain. However, silat has been acknowledged as a genuine Malay art. When Islam was spread throughout the archipelago in the fourteenth century, it was taught alongside with silat. Besides as a combative art and cultural folk dance, silat then became a spiritual training. Silat was gradually refined into the specialized property of sultans, panglima (prime-minister) and pendekar (warriors) during the Malacca Sultanate, Majapahit and Srivijaya empires. It was the time when silat spread through Malay peninsula, Java, Bali, Sulawesi and Borneo. Malays, in particular in Malay peninsula, considers the legendary story of Hang Tuah of the fourteenth century as the father of silat.
Problem Identification	Silat now  have been denied by new generation.They things the other martial art from outside country is more better,.From my research at one week,I ask one of my friend,they said silat is not relevant at this time. Mostly my research is focus at people live at town and they are very rich people.But the other said silat is relevant and must be protect as heritage.So that’s why we can see many rich people have been robbed .The other thing it`s mean self defence it is important . When the new generation have avoid this martial art,we can loose something important about malay heritage.That the effect when silat have been denied.
AIM	To give some message for new generation about what the important about silat.The important is malay heritage.It is something we can not loose in Malaysia
Objective :	-          To Inculcate the knowledge of SILAT as Malay Martial Arts -            -          To Incoach the younger generations of “Guru-Anak Murid” respects and learn from proper roots. -                   -      To allow  the user to “listen” to the “voice” of the human   sculpture .         -             To experiment the SILAT Movements and   with the guide   through touching the Sculpture Hand and interact with the   screen monitor.
Motivation	I will use combination sculpture, monitor screen, interactive sound and tube. It is like human sculpture with head (monitor screen) .that, the monitor will show the video related the Silat. User will interact the sculpture when they touch the hand and the sound effect will hear. And they also can interact the monitor screen
Ideation and concept	The interactive installation art piece entitled “Human sculpture expression about Silat”. The title means that the user will have the chance to actually “listen” to the “voice” of the sculpture. The voice here does not mean the real voice; it means the inner voice, the inner feeling of the sculpture. It`s like sculpture is live and can communicate the people. It will be equipped with 10 button at finger sculpture.When the user press the one of the finger,the sound will detected and will hear of sculpture expression.The monitor screen will show something visual.Example the first finger will show sound “haittttttt…..” (sound of people fight) Second finger (sound of punch)
